Virginia Turner
Virginia Perry Turner of Chattanooga died on Sunday, December 21, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
Virginia was a longtime active member of First Presbyterian Church and It’s a Wonderful Life and Women of the Church ministries. Virginia was a volunteer for Changed Lives. She was retired from 3-M Company with 25 years of service. Virginia was currently a funeral attendant and ambassador with Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel on Ashland Terrace since 1982, where she comforted thousands of her friends.
Virginia was the wife of the late Aubie W. Turner. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Aubie W. Turner, Jr., parents, Robert P. and Ida Morrow Perry, brother, R.P. Perry, Jr., niece Gayln Brown and brother-in-law, Ben L. Mason, Sr.
Survivors include her sister, Velma Perry Mason; brother, Charles V. (Helen) Perry; sister-in-law, Charlotte Perry; niece, Elizabeth Tubbs; and nephew, Ben L. Mason, Jr. (Sue).
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 601 Ashland Terrace with Reverend Chris Ehlers officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be employees of Lane Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
