Church's Chicken presented Calhoun City Schools with a $5,200 check on Dec. 17 and W.L. Swain Elementary School with a $1,000 check, making good on a promise to donate a portion of sales to local public schools. The campaign began earlier this fall when Church’s® invited parents, students and families to visit the location at 1131 South Wall Street, Calhoun, GA 30701. For every meal purchased during a six week span of time, Church’s pledged to donate ten percent of total restaurant sales to schools in Gordon County.
“We are grateful to the community for their support and generosity and couldn’t be more honored to contribute towards the success of Calhoun City Schools and W.L.
Swain Elementary School,” said Mark Snyder, EVP, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Church’s Chicken. “We would also like to offer a heartfelt congratulations to Calhoun High School Yellow Jackets on the achievement of Class AAA state champions!”
“Calhoun City Schools is proud to call Church’s Chicken a Partner in Education,” said Calhoun City Schools Director of Communications Peter Coombe. “With Church’s valued contributions, our students will have increased resources available to them as they pursue excellence in all they do. We are extremely appreciative of the entire Church’s team and appreciate their support of our local community and schools.”
