Light, Shadow And Color Is January Exhibit At River Gallery

  • Tuesday, December 23, 2014

The artists in the River Gallery January exhibit Light, Shadow, and Color create pieces that utilize light, shadow, and color reflecting their respect for personal inspiration.

South Dakota artist Loy Allen "reveals the power and mystery of the natural world through the translucence of glass and opacity of metal in her expressive three-dimensional sculptures."

Tennessee oil painter David Swanagin "harnesses the contrast between light and shadow to create a compelling sense of time and place, inviting the viewer to share a personal experience within his paintings."

There will be an opening reception with the artists on Friday, Jan. 2, from 6:30-8 p.m.  The snow date will be Saturday, Jan. 3, 2-4 p.m.  Events are free and open to the public.

River Gallery is in the Bluff View Art District.
