Frances Jordan
Frances Bettis Fairbanks Jordan, 99, of Ooltewah, died on Wednesday, December 23, 2014.
We thank God for letting us borrow her for almost 100 years here on earth.
She joins her parents, Elmer and Mary Belle Robinson Bettis; her baby brother, Arthur; sisters, Angeline, Josephine and Virginia; sons, Howard, Douglas and Roy Fairbanks. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, James Taylor Fairbanks and Paul Dewey Jordan; three grandsons, Tim, Randy and Paul Douglas Fairbanks.
She will be waiting by the gate for her daughter, Joyce Lawson; son, Bill Fairbanks; sister, Alpha Combs; two step-daughters, Frances E. Jordan and Margaret Dill; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, in Sylar Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist.
