Linda Bentley
Linda Jane Reed Bentley, 63, of Chickamauga, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014.
She had lived most of her life in the Clarksdale, Ms., area before moving to North Georgia in 1992. She was a member of Garrett's Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Roper in 2014 after more than 15 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, going to Dollywood, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Reed.
Survivors include her loving husband of more than 44 years, Allen Bentley; son, Chris Bentley and (Denise Gilliand); daughter, Jennifer Cauthen and (Randy Peace) all of Chickamauga; four brothers, and sisters-in-law, Johnny and (Floria) Reed of Van Buren, Ar., Larry and (Sylvia) Reed of Philadelphia, Ms., Jimmy Reed and Donald Reed both of Van Buren, Ar.; sister, Helen Reed of Clarksdale, Ms.; five grandchildren, Heather Bentley, Zeb Allen Cauthen, Zoe Cauthen,Bentley Peace and Jayden Peace and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, in the LaFayette Chapel with Brother David Harris officiating. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. EST, 2 p.m. CST on Sunday, Dec. 28, at Ridge Cemetery in Golden, Ms.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
