LCDR Bob Lowe, U.S. Navy retired, 82, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his residence. 

He was a member of North Hixson Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lowe and daughter, Janice Carrigg.  While in the United States Navy he served in the Submarine Service as a weapons specialist and was instrumental in the development of the Polaris Missile System.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Robert) Green, Weatherford, TX; grandchildren, Katie (Trevor) Hooie, Robyn Green, and David Green; and great grandchild, Ellie Hooie.

Services will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Bill Walton officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer, Avalon Hospice, or to The Wounded Warrior Project.

The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
