Wedding Expo To Return To Ringgold Depot On Jan. 17

  • Wednesday, December 31, 2014

The Southern Charm Wedding Expo will be returning to the Historic Ringgold Depot, 155 Depot St. on Saturday, Jan.17.  The free event will be opened to the public from noon-4 p.m.

The event will feature caterers, event planners, photographers, DJ's and a variety of other wedding professionals from the Chattanooga and North West Georgia area who will offer samples and information about their services. "Each year we fill the Depot with a variety of about 20 vendors," explained Pam Green, the lead coordinator for the event, "and we have anywhere between 400 and 600 people come through in just those 4 hours so it's an exciting atmosphere."

2015 will mark the 4th annual Expo inside the Historic Ringgold Depot.  "Every year we add new vendors and see new and exciting trends happening for weddings," said Ms. Green.

Vendors will be setup inside the Historic Ringgold Depot to meet interested couples or others planning a wedding in the near future.  "So many people are doing a lot of their planning online,' said Ms. Green, "but the Expo allows someone to walk into the Depot and take care of all your planning in one day."

The Expo will feature live music performances and free samples from area catering companies.  Visitors will also be able to pick up applications to book events at the Historic Ringgold Depot which has recently added new sound and lighting equipment as well as new tables and chairs.  "We've added a lot to the Depot and changed some of our policies so we're happy to show off the new renovations," explained the director of the Ringgold Convention and Visitor's Center, Joseph Brellenthin.

Public parking is available on the north and south side of Nashville St.  For more information go to facebook.come/depotexpo or visit www.cityofringgold.com.  Vendor inquiries can be made to jbrellenthinringgolddda@gmail.com.  Space is limited and subject to certain restrictions.
