Residential Rain Garden Workshop Scheduled For Saturday

  • Friday, December 5, 2014

In partnership with local green industry leaders (Higher Ground Rainwater Harvesting Systems, Trailhead Nursery, Overhill Gardens and Botanica Chattanooga), the City of Chattanooga Water Quality Program is co-hosting a Rain Garden workshop this Saturday.  Rain gardens are landscape features designed to improve water quality and decrease stormwater runoff, while providing an interesting wildlife habitat and offering a unique landscape aesthetic in your own backyard.

Interested individuals are invited to attend a social hour outdoors from 4-5 p.m. (weather permitting), at 501 Winston Road, Chattanooga, TN, 37405 (North Chattanooga), where they will be able to view the completed rain garden.  Parking is available at the GPS (205 Island Ave), one block from the rain garden.

To attend the social hour, please RSVP Water Quality Specialist Wyn Miller at miller_wyn@chattanooga.gov or 423-643-5852.
