Hamilton County Schools Closed Tuesday; UTC Opens At 10; Other Closings Announced

Hamilton County Schools will be closed Tuesday due to the expected winter storm.

School aged childcare will be closed and all extra curricular activities are cancelled.

Central office and employees who accrue vacations are to report by 10 a.m.  Maintenance employees are to report at the regular time. 

UTC will open at 10 a.m.

Hamilton County General Sessions Courts are open Tuesday.

Here are other closings:

Alexian Brothers PACE Transportation will not be runningTuesday or Wednesday (Community Services center is open).

Bachman Academy will be closed Tuesday.

Bradley County Schools will be closed Tuesday.

Calhoun, Ga. City Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Catoosa County Schools will close Tuesday.

Chattanooga Writers Guild meeting on Tuesday night is cancelled.

Cleveland City Schools will be closed Tuesday.

Covenant College will be closed Tuesday.

Dade County Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Dalton Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

First Baptist Dalton Daycare  will be closed Tuesday.

Georgia Department of Labor career centers in Blue Ridge, Cartersville, Dalton, LaFayette, and Rome will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday. 

All campuses of Georgia Northwestern Technical College will be closed on Tuesday.

Gordon County Schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Murray County Schools will be closed on Tuesday.

Murray County Developmental Center will be closed.

Polk County Schools will close Tuesday.

Walker County Schools are closed Tuesday.

Whitfield County Schools will be closed for students and staff on Tuesday. Local after school care and activities are still running according to their usual schedule on Monday.

Whitfield Dalton Daycare Center will be closed Tuesday.

The Whitfield County Transit Service will be closed.
