Flight cancellations surpassed 1,100 on Tuesday morning, with more than half of the cancellations coming to or from Atlanta. Hundreds more were canceled going in and out of Charlotte and Dallas.

Travel conditions are also hazardous on roadways. Accidents were reported overnight in Mississippi and Alabama as roadways became slick, with all southbound traffic on I-55 blocked for hours near exit 265 in Mississippi.
