Georgia Department Of Labor Offices Affected By Severe Weather To Close

Georgia Department of Labor offices affected by the severe winter weather will close Tuesday, adhering to the following schedules.

All GDOL offices affected by the weather that are located north of I-20 AND outside of the I-285 perimeter will close immediately.

Additional other GDOL offices affected by the weather, including the state headquarters and other career centers, will close at noon.

GDOL career centers in areas of the state not impacted by the severe winter weather will follow normal hours of operation.


The public is encouraged to monitor the GDOL web site www.employgeorgia.gov for continuous updates on operating schedules during the severe weather.

One man was shot and killed and another man injured in a shooting on Carousel Road lateTuesday afternoon. The incident happened around 5:25 p.m. One man was dead at the scene, and the other was taken to a hospital.
