Lecture By Elizabeth Cline Still On At Dalton State On Thursday Night

Dalton State has cancelled classes, and offices will be closed, but Goodroe Auditorium in Memorial Hall will be open Thursday evening at 6:30 for a lecture by Elizabeth Cline, author of "Overdressed: The Shockingly High Cost of Cheap Fashion."

Ms. Cline, a fashion writer from New York, was originally scheduled to appear two weeks ago, but the program was cancelled due to snow.

Santa Is Available For Pictures At Bradley Square Mall

Santa has arrived at Bradley Square Mall and is available for pictures daily through Christmas Eve.  Hours are Monday – Saturday 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m. There will be extended hours Dec. 16-24. (click for more)

Dog Saves Woman From Fire At Highway 58 Area

A homeowner reported that her dog saved her life early Friday morning. At 12:52 a.m. , the homeowner called 911 reporting a fire at 8411 Providence Road (Highway 58 area). The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived reporting a log cabin with flames coming through the roof. Bradley County Police Investigating Shooting

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Georgetown Road.  A BCSO officer was waved down at the intersection of 25 th Street and Peerless Road by the driver of a vehicle who told the officer a gunshot victim was inside.
