Missing Man From Dalton Spotted In Jasper, On Foot

The Dalton Police Department was informed Tuesday morning by a family member of Michael Franks, who went missing on Sunday, was spotted in Marion County, near Jasper on foot. It is possible he was walking on a road in the direction of Knoxville.  

The woman who saw him contacted police but they were unable to locate him.  She had seen a report of him being missing on the news.  He had apparently changed clothes from the outfit he was wearing in the picture.

Michael L. “Paul” Franks, 48, was last seen leaving his apartment at 820 Shugart Road at approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday.

His cell phone was later found at the Greyhound bus station in Chattanooga.  Family members have told investigators that he might be headed towards Knoxville. 

Mr. Franks is a white male, standing approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds.
