Adult Choirs Present Evensong At Episcopal Church Of Good Shepherd

The adult choirs of St. Paul's Episcopal and St Timothy's Episcopal churches will join with the adult choir at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain, 211 Franklin Road, for Evensong on Sunday. 

Central to the service will be "Magnificat," the music commissioned from  local composer Ethan McGrath.  Also offered will be his "Ninc dimittis"  and Maurice Durufle's "Ubi caritas."

The service will be held at 4 p.m. with organists/conductors, Keith Reas, John Wigal and Philip Newton. The palm setting is by Joseph Barnby. 

All are welcome to attend.

First Presbyterian Hosts World Missions Conference Oct. 9-12

City To Begin Shipping Much Of Its Garbage To Bradley County

City Public Works Administrator Justin Holland said the city plans to begin shipping much of its garbage to Bradley County. He said the deal is projected to extend the life of the city landfill at Birchwood by 15 years.
