Street Closings Announced For The Weekend

On Saturday, Reggie White Boulevard, from Main Street to West 20th Street, westbound West 20th Street, northbound Riverfront Parkway, eastbound Riverside Drive from Chestnut Street to East 2nd Street and westbound Riverside Drive/Riverfront Parkway from Lindsay Street to ML King Boulevard will be closed.  The south bound inside lane of Riverfront Parkway and 20th Street will be closed from ML King Boulevard to Reggie White Boulevard.

The Veterans Bridge south bound exit ramp will be closed.   Power Alley and Chestnut Street from West 2nd Street to Riverfront Parkway, the outbound inside (left) lane of Riverside Drive from East 2nd Street to Latta Street/River Terminal Road, the right curb lane of East 3rd Street from High Street to Walnut Street, Walnut Street from East 3rd Street to the north end of the Walnut Street Bridge, the eastbound curb lane of Frazier Avenue from the north end of the Walnut Street Bridge to the Veterans Bridge will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the Scenic City Half Marathon and Charity Challenge. There will be temporary delays at Battery Place and Mabel Street, the Mabel Street exit ramp from Riverside Drive, the Bluff View Arts District and Frazier Avenue ramp to the Veterans Bridge.

Police personnel will be posted in these areas to reduce traffic congestion and delays as much as possible.  Some streets may open earlier depending on the duration of the event.  Northbound Riverfront Parkway between Main Street and M L King Boulevard will be open by 9 am.

The 1300 Block of West Fort Street, West 13th Street, from Fort Street to Market Street, and the southbound curb lane of Market Street between West 13th Street and the entrance to the Chattanooga Choo Choo will be closed from 7:30-10 a.m. on Saturday, for the ConNooga parade.

23-Year-Old Stabbed To Death Early Sunday Morning

A man was stabbed to death in Chattanooga early Sunday morning. At approximately 2:48 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 2525 6 th  Avenue Court for a person stabbed.  Officers located a 23-year-old suffering from a stab wound to his chest.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injury.  The victim’s information ... Man, 21, Arrested In Hidden Camera Case

An arrest has been made in a case in which a hidden camera was apparently placed in several local restrooms.
