Due to unforeseen circumstances, the NAACP will cancel the 8th Annual Black Ink Poetry Contest. 


Deadline Approaching To Enter The 2014 Hamilton SHINES Billboard Art Contest

Entries are now being accepted for the 2014 Hamilton SHINES Billboard Art contest that is open to all students, grades k-12.  One winner will be chosen from these age divisions:  Elementary, Middle, and High School.  Private schools and home-schooled students are also encouraged to participate. Hunter Road Reopened After Traffic Crash Wednesday Morning

Hunter Road has been reopened, at the 5600 block of Hunter Road at the intersection with Old Hunter Road, after it was closed Wednesday morning due to a traffic crash.  The road was closed because there was a fuel leak involved and Haz Mat was called to assist with the fuel cleanup. Downtown Chattanooga Apartment Complex Fetches $15 Million

Walnut Commons, the first downtown apartment complex built in many years, sold for $15 million, one of the developers said.
