Man Shot Multiple Times On Central Avenue Monday Morning While In His Car Is In Critical Condition

A man who was shot multiple times on Monday morning while in his car is in critical condition.

Chattanooga Police Officers responded to a person shot call at 1932 Central Ave. at 9:52 a.m. 

Officers found Derrick Lee Thornton, the victim, sitting in his vehicle. He had several gunshot wounds to the face, arm and chest areas. He was transported to a local hospital for the gunshot injuries and is listed in critical condition. 

The victim was driving his vehicle south on Central Avenue when he was shot by an unknown suspect. There is no suspect information at this time.
