CCS Golfer Pope Commits to Austin Peay

Chattanooga Christian School all-state golfer Anna Pope has verbally committed to attend Austin Peay University in the fall and play women's golf.

The CCS senior tied for sixth at the TSSAA D-I A-AA girls golf tournament as a junior in the fall 2012 earning all-state honors.

Ironically, Anna-Michelle Moore (Clarksville Academy)  - the girl she tied with in the state tournament  - has also verbally committed to play golf at APSU.

Pope is a four-year letter winner for CCS, an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society.

She won the Chattanooga PGA Junior Dan Tribble tournament this past summer, was runner-up in the 2013 Chattanooga City Junior Golf Championship and was twice named Creeks Bend Golf Course most improved fenale golfer in 2011 and 2012.

Lookouts Fall To Barons Friday, 6-4

After losing a game to the elements, the Lookouts resumed their five-game series with Birmingham Friday night. The game was delayed 25 minutes because of light rain. The Tennessee Lady Vols had three players on the board, and all three Big Orange seniors were selected Thursday night at WNBA Draft 2015 presented by State Farm at Mohegan Sun Arena. Pedestrian Struck And Dragged An Estimated 4 Blocks Early Friday Morning Was Levi S. Youster, 22

Early Friday morning the Chattanooga Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian struck near 400 Cherry Street.   Once on scene, officers found Levi S.
