Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will waive entrance fees to Point Park, atop Lookout Mountain, from Saturday, Feb. 15, through Monday, Feb. 17.
The three days that park entrance fees are waived provide an opportunity for visitors to learn about the importance of Chattanooga as it related to one of the nation’s presidents – Abraham Lincoln. In the fall of 1863 the nation’s focus shifted to Chattanooga. Why was the city so important during the Civil War? Find out by visiting the national park.
