Catoosa County Historical Society Meeting February 10

The Catoosa County Historical Society will meet on Monday, February 10, 2014, at 7 p.m. in the Old Stone Church Museum, Ringgold, GA,

David Boyle, president of the Walker County Historical Society, will be the speaker. The Marsh House, located in LaFayette, GA, will be his topic.

Woman, 20, Killed While Trying To Cross Highway 153 Early Sunday Morning

A woman, 20, was killed early Sunday morning while trying to cross Highway 153. The victim was identified as Ansleigh Kaylyn Harrison. At approximately 1:28 a.m. , Chattanooga Police officers responded to a pedestrian struck at 5256 Highway 153. 8 People Rescued From Boat After Sudden Storm Causes It To Begin To Sink

Eight people who were on a boat in Hamilton County that began taking on water during a storm had to be rescued on Sunday. It happened just before 6 p.m. when a fast-moving storm hit. The TWRA said a towboat was nearby and helped with the rescue after the boat began taking on water. All those on the boat got off safely. (click for more)
