The Chattanooga F.C. Academy 2004 Girls won the 2014 Vulcan Cup Soccer Tournament U10 Silver Divsion this past weekend in Birmingham.

The CFCA Girls lost their opener to BUSA 04 Elite North Blue, 2-1, but won the next two matches to reach the championship game. Chattanooga defeated Attack 04 Black (7-0) and EYSA Lady Fusion 04 Select (4-0).

In the title game against USC 04, Chattanooga scored the winning goal with seven minutes remaining for a 1-0 victory. 

Goal scorers for the weekend were Ana Silva (4), Morgan Hughes (1), Zoe Stalvey (3), Camilla Mook (1), Madeline Lee (1), Bailie Dull (1).  Samantha Helton (1) Madeline Lee (1). Gracen Brewster was a standout in goal with three shutouts. 

The CFCA 04 Girls have won the three championships this season and one second place finish. 


Smokies' Hurlers Limit Lookouts To Four Hits Sunday In 5-1 Win

The Lookouts drew six walks, but only managed four hits in their 5-1 loss to the Tennessee Smokies Sunday in front of a crowd of 5,356 fans at AT&T Field.    Chattanooga's loss drops them to 22-28 through 50 games in the Southern League North Division. Harrison Sparks Lookouts To 3-2 Win Over Smokies

For the second straight night Travis Harrison delivered in the clutch for the Chattanooga Lookouts. Tonight the third baseman drove in all three runs in the team's 3-2 win over the Tennessee Smokies before a crowd of 4,765 at AT&T Field. Stone Domestic Assault Case Postponed Until Aug. 9

The case in which Bobby Stone is charged with domestic assault against his wife, advisor to Mayor Andy Berke Lacie Stone, has been postponed until Aug. 9. Officials said there will be no further action until the TBI completes its investigation.  The case had been set Tuesday morning before general sessions court Lila Statom.
