A six-week Lenten study of the book, "The Way," by Adam Hamilton will begin on Wednesday, at 6 p.m. at Prime Time at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 410 McCallie Ave., with dinner by reservation at 5:15. This study, led by the Rev. Brian Davis, will be the only Prime Time adult program during Lent. Regular child and youth activities will continue. Small group studies of the same book will be in various homes and times and at the church during Lent.
Two Adult Ministry trips are planned in the next few weeks.
A trip to Cumberland County Playhouse March 25, with lunch at Cumberland State Park, will be to see "The Foreigner." The cost, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., will be $35. April 9, the group will go to Gibbs Gardens,, Ball Ground, Ga., with lunch at Arbor Café. The cost for a 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. trip will be $25. For reservations contact Marsha at 756-2021.
Dr. Doug Fairbanks will speak at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. sanctuary worship services on Sunday, on "An Uncalculating God," with text from Romans 4:1-5, 13-17. At The Vine at 10:45, the Rev. Brian Davis will speak on: "Forgiven to Walk Again," with Mark 2:1-12 as text.
