Ooltewah Softball Takes District Win Over Cleveland

Ooltewah took a district home softball win over Cleveland, 13-1, on Thursday.

Monica Thompson scattered two hits over four innings of the five-inning contest. Her record improves to 1-1.

Freshman Tiera Lemon rapped two singles, scored twice and had an RBI. She stole two bases.

Ashunti Cooper went 2-3 with a home run. She scored twice and knocked in a pair of runs, in addition to stealing two bases.

Sloan Sullivan was 2-3 and scored three times, while freshman Aubie Collake had two runs batted in and scored twice.

Elizabeth Novelli was 2-3 with two RBIs, and Summer Williams doubled and knocked in a run.

Ooltewah improves to 2-1, 1-1 in District 5AAA.
