One Shot On Diamond Street Early Friday Morning; Brandon Adkins Arrested

One man was shot early Friday morning, and another arrested for the shooting.

At approximately 12:15 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to an address on Diamond Street for a person who had been shot.  Officers discovered that two men were involved in a verbal confrontation when one of them brandished a handgun and started shooting.

The victim suffered a single, non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the arm and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Brandon Adkins was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault and reckless endangerment. 

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
