5 Businesses Fail Alcohol Compliance Check

The Chattanooga Police Department Regulatory Bureau, The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the Hamilton County Coalition conducted a series of compliance checks at several local businesses on Thursday, and five failed. 

Police sent an 18-year-old into the businesses where he attempted to purchase beer or liquor. Twelve businesses were checked and seven passed the checks, asking for identification and then refusing the sales. The five businesses that failed the check will appear either in front of the Chattanooga Beer Board or will face an administrative hearing with the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission at a later date.
