Street Closings Announced For Next Week

Reggie White Boulevard, between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed from noon on Monday, to noon on Monday, March 24, for the Chattanooga RV Show.
 
The GPS/McCallie Cancer Walk will be held on Wednesday, from 12-1 p.m. The route utilizes River Street through the Coolidge Park area, crosses the Walnut Street Bridge, and then crosses Market Street at East 1st Street.  Motorists are asked to proceed with caution and expect pedestrians along the route.

 
The southbound lanes of 200 Broad Street between Aquarium Way and West 3rd Street will be closed on Friday, from 2:30-4 p.m. for The Block Grand Opening.


Remains Of World War II Soldier Being Returned To Whitwell

A World War II soldier's remains have been identified and are being returned home to Whitwell.  The remains of Cpl. Henry Andregg Jr. were identified among over 500 previously unidentified remains left in the aftermath of intense fighting on the Island of Betio, Tarawa Atoll, Gilbert Islands.  Cpl.
