Suspects Sought In Shooting On Basswood Drive Tuesday Night

One man was shot Tuesday night on Basswood Drive.

Chattanooga Police officers responded to a local hospital on Wednesday,  at 12:10 a.m., on reports of a person who had been shot. Officers talked with Cedric Edwards, 20.

Mr. Edwards said he was standing outside at 7766 Basswood Dr. when he noticed a blue four-door vehicle with four black male occupants in front of the residence. The people in the vehicle then started shooting. Mr. Edwards suffered one gunshot wound to the right upper leg. He was transported to an area hospital and treated for a non-life-threatening injury. He said did not know the vehicle or any of the occupants in it.on a person that had been shot.
