5 Arrested In Chattooga And Cobb Counties On Drug And Firearms Charges

The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force served three search warrants on Wednesday in Chattooga County and one search warrant in Cobb County, Ga.  Four arrest warrants were also served, with a fifth arrest made on related charges.
 
A controlled delivery of eight ounces of uncut “Ice” methamphetamine led to the arrest of the following people:
            Felix Moreno Garcia
            Date of birth: July 10, 1981

            Summerville, Ga.
 
            Fabian Pineda Garcia
            Date of birth: Sept. 11, 1985
            38 Cedar Street
            Summerville, Ga.
 
            Pedro Castro
            Date of birth: September 11, 1985
            17 Cedar Street
            Summerville, Ga.
 
            Jimmy Fowler
            346 Melba Drive
            Trion, Ga.
 
            Jesus Garcia Mosqueda
            Date of birth: Feb. 11, 1968
            38 Cedar Street
            Summerville, Ga.
 
The search warrants yielded additional amounts of uncut “Ice” methamphetamine, firearms and cash.
 
A stash of firearms, military grade ballistic gear and small arms ammunition were discovered at one of the search warrant locations.  These items were packaged and prepared to be shipped to a location in Central America.
 
Total amount of uncut “Ice” methamphetamine seized in yesterdays operation approaches two kilograms.  Once processed, the “Ice” has a potential street value in excess of $250,000.

Woman Gets Minivan Stuck On Railroad Track; It Is Hit By Train; She Goes To Jail

Police said a woman got her minivan stuck on railroad tracks on Hickory Valley Road on Friday. A train wound up hitting the van, and the woman, Julie Louanne Abel, wound up being taken to jail. Ms. Abel, 45, of 7437 Private Lane, was charged with driving on a revoked license and having no proof of insurance. A woman who was behind the minivan said Ms. Abel got out of the vehicle. ...
