Christine Dyer
Christine Kaye Kocher Dyer, 50, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 after a two-year battle with cancer.
Chris was born Sept. 20, 1963, in Rockford, Il. Her family moved to Chattanooga in 1975 where she attended Hixson Junior High School, Hixson High School and graduated from the University of Chattanooga with a degree in accounting. Chris was employed for several years at First Thermal Systems, Inc and Card Monroe Corporation.
Chris was preceded in death by her father, Terry J. Kocher; maternal grandparents, Earl F. and Wilma Dewey; Uncle Jesse E. Dewey; paternal grandparents, Keith (Laverne) Kocher and Dorothy Kocher.
Chris is survived by her husband, Eric M. Dyer; son, Joshua C. Lea; stepdaughter, Sydney K. Dyer; mother, Geraldine J. Kocher; sister, Dianne K. (John) Zeglen; brother, Keith E. Kocher; maternal aunt, Dianne T. ( James) Clark; paternal uncle, James Kocher; paternal aunts, Jeannine (James) Bramwell and Mary Kauhi; nephews, Stephen (Emilie) Zeglen, Kevin Zeglen, T.C. Kocher, Peter Zeglen; nieces Sarah Zeglen, Mary Zeglen, Susan Zeglen and Kathy Zeglen.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, from 12-6 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Keith W. Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Society or Hospice of Chattanooga.
