Knowing that career exploration is an important indicator of career readiness, Brainerd High School implemented an initiative for students to shadow career professionals, known as CareerNation.
Brainerd High School hosted its first BHS CareerNation Professional Mentor luncheon on Monday at the Brainerd Complex Center, 1010 North Moore Road.
CareerNation is intended as a next step program for students who participate in the BHS LabNation program at Brainerd High School. In LabNation, students work independently to complete online courses required for graduation.
The program is self-paced and students can earn course credits each semester. While completing course work, enrolled students also complete a self-assessment. The self-assessment provides an interest inventory of career and post-secondary options.
