A teenager was stabbed by his uncle on Tuesday in East Ridge, during what he described as an unprovoked attack.
East Ridge Police received a report of a stabbing on Fawn Drive at 12:28 p.m.
The victim fled the scene of the attack at 100 Fawn Drive to a friend’s house down the street and called police.
After first making contact with the victim and securing his location for medical first responders, police proceeded to 100 Fawn Drive where patrol officers made contact with the suspect, Garris Wooten. 25.
Wooten was taken into custody and charged with attempted criminal homicide.
He is scheduled to appear in East Ridge Court on April 1.
