East Ridge Wins 6-0 Over Central

The East Ridge boys soccer team led Chattanooga Central 4-0 at the half and went on to win 6-0 in a District 6A/AA match on Tuesday.

Tad Whitaker ahd two gaols.  Dee Sylla, Kolbe King, Rasim Kazic and Luis Guzman each had one goal. 

Kazic also had two assists.  Sylla and Marco Briseno also had an assist.

 East Ridge improves to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in district play.

Five area players have been voted to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association boys all-state basketball team. Lookouts Rally, Then Falter In Ninth Falling To BayBears Thursday, 6-5

Chattanooga rallied from a 5-1 deficit to tie the game at five in the top of the eighth inning, but ultimately lost the game, 6-5, on a ninth inning walk-off home run from Ronnie Freeman. Fire Displaces Mother And Son At House Near Dodds Avenue

No one was home when fire broke out in a Chattanooga home near Dodds Avenue late Friday morning. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm around 11 a.m. and responded to 2609 Reece St. with four fire companies.  Battalion Chief Carlos Hampton said the firefighters made a quick, interior attack and got the fire under control in roughly 10 minutes. ... Signal Mountain Man Charged In Plot Against Muslim Town To Be Evaluated; Doggart Faces New Charges

A Signal Mountain man who admitted plotting to kill Muslims in a town in Upstate New York to show that it was "a true threat" is to undergo an evaluation at a facility in Lexington, Ky.
