Nature At Its Best Is April Exhibit At River Gallery

  • Wednesday, March 26, 2014

With spring emerging, the artists in the River Gallery April show "Nature at Its Best" have cultivated their creativity to botany in a diverse array of mediums.

Steve Noggle expresses homage to the tree by utilizing the organic edge of the original trunk in his hardwood-turned bowls.  With the idea that plant life has always inspired the man-made, Kim Kauffman uses the technical to inform the botanical in her series of digital prints created on a flatbed scanner.  Caesar Citraro observes both the detailed and the abstracted elements of the environment with his oil paintings.

There will be an artist reception with Mr. Citraro on Friday, April 4, from 6:30-8 p.m.  The snow date is Saturday, April 5, from 2-4 p.m.  Events are free and open to the public
