Christ United Methodist To Launch New Women's Ministry

Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, will launch a new ministry for business women on Tuesday, April 8, 11:30 a.m., at the Sheraton Read House. Free parking. Lunch will be ordered from the Porter’s menu. Sign-up by Friday, April 4. Space is limited to 35. The men's ministries are teaming with the Chattanooga Men's Ministry Network to host the regional Men’s "Iron Sharpens Iron" Conference at Christ Church on Saturday, April 5.

Keynote speakers include former NFL quarterback Jeff Kemp and Robert Amaya, who played Javier in the movie "Courageous!" The Ladies Supper Club will be meeting Tuesday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at The Chop House on Gunbarrel Rd. Please call Ann Boleman to make a reservation at 423-855-8701. The Ladies Supper Club was formed to encourage single women who are age 50+ to make and build strong friendships. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Reservations are required each month.

Reception Honors County's 2nd-Longest Serving Employee

General Sessions Court Judge Clarence Shattuck, at a County Courthouse reception, asked anyone who was working at the courthouse in 1966 to raise their hand.
