Sequatchie Rallies To Beat Grundy County

The Sequatchie County softball team earned a key district 7-AA win Thursday, rallying for a 7-6 win against Grundy County. 

Grundy led 6-2 in the fifth inning before Sequatchie scored five in the final inning as Emily Yell drove  in the winning run. 

Katelynne Cheatham and Madi Presto were 2 for 3 for Sequatchie County, while Presto had four RBI's. 

Grundy County's Harley Davis, Sierra Kilgore and Madison Rollins each had two hits.

Lady Scots Softball Falls To No. 5 Berry

The Covenant softball team gave No. 5-ranked and unbeaten Berry all it could handle in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader, but the Lady Scots ultimately dropped both games of the twin-bill.
