Rick Mincy Will Not Make House 27 Race

  • Friday, March 28, 2014

Retired Chattanooga Police Sgt. Rick Mincy said he has decided not to run for the House District 27 seat.

He said, "After days and nights of thought and prayers I have decided not to seek election to the 27th Legislative District state representative this election.

"I just retired with 25 years of service with the city police department last September and I would like some more time being retired before embarking on a full-time commitment.

"I appreciate all the calls and support from all who encouraged me to seek this position and I look forward in the future to continue serving the people of this area."
