Unum announced the promotion of Gary Godin to vice president of the Leave Management Center.
Unum’s Leave Management Center helps employers manage and administer federal and state regulations related to family and medical leaves as well as corporate leave policies. The center supports over 350 employers, covering more than 1.2 million employees across the country.
In this role, Mr. Godin will continue to manage the day-to-day service while also strategically aligning the business for the future. Mr. Godin will be looking at ways the company can further expand its leave management service through introducing new services and leveraging new technologies.
Mr. Godin joined Unum in 2007. Prior to his role in the Leave Management Center he led Unum’s Short Term Disability and Group Customer Service organizations in Chattanooga. His professional background also includes health insurance, sales and investments.
Mr. Godin has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Tennessee Wesleyan College and a master’s of business administration in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
