I first met Perry Perkins 25 years ago when he was a young man with a strong desire to make a difference in his community. Through the years I have watched him show his love of his fellow man by committing himself to projects that help others, projects that watch out for those weaker than himself. He has served the community as a reserve police officer, he worked tirelessly for the youth through the DARE program as well as working with the Juvenile Court. Perry is a proud Alhambra Shrine member as well as an associate board member of the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Lexington, Ky. – a hospital that helped a younger cousin of mine years ago to such an extent that he is now able to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force.
Perry is a strong believer in education. Being a product of Hamilton County’s public education, he knows the importance of good working relationships between the educators and the local government as well as respecting the opinions of parents and hearing the voices of the students.
As a small business owner with a strong work ethic Perry is able to understand the nuances of budgets, fiscal responsibility, and working until the job is complete. He knows how the current issues facing our country also effect business owners, such as education, health care and the minimum wage.
Perry has proven through his years of dedicated service to his community that he has the skills to lead his district and his county into a bright future.
