Joshua Michael Fowler has been charged with murdering his elderly grandmother.
Fowler, 30, is accused of killing Joyce Ann Fowler at her home at Chickamauga, Ga.
She died from injuries to her head.
Her body was found at her home on Mimosa Drive around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The grandson was the one reporting the discovery of the body. Police then began questioning him.
He was first arrested early Sunday morning on a parole violation, then on Monday the murder count was placed against him.
