Nearly-Wed Adventure Preps Couples For Marriage

First Things First will help marriage-minded couples prepare for the next step in their relationship journey with the Nearly-Wed Adventure.  

This event takes place on Saturday, April 26, at Hidden Hollow Resort in Chickamauga, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.  

Couples who are seriously dating, living together or engaged are encouraged to attend. 

Participants should come dressed and ready for fun and adventure as they tackle and overcome obstacles that many young couples face in their relationships, said officials.  There will be games and activities, snacks and lunch.   

The Nearly-Wed Adventure is free but participants must pre-register for the seminar online at firstthings.org or by calling 267-5383.

BRA-VO! A Fashion Show Celebrating Life After Breast Cancer Will Be April 19

Breast Cancer Support Services, Inc., a Chattanooga based nonprofit, is hosting the third annual BRA-VO! Fashion Show. Flag Raising Honors 35 Erlanger Organ Donors In 2014

On Wednesday, officials with Erlanger will raise a “Donate Life” flag in the hospital courtyard to recognize and honor 35 Erlanger patients who gave the ultimate gift of life as organ donors in 2014. Chattanooga Police Detective Karl Fields Terminated On Code Of Conduct Charges

Karl Fields, former Chattanooga Police detective, was terminated on Wednesday, on code of conduct charges. The Chattanooga Police Department received a correspondence from the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office o n Sept. 4, 2014,  informing them of allegations of inappropriate behavior committed by a CPD investigator during the course of a rape investigation. ... Autopsy Says 5-Year-Old Whitwell Boy Died Of Blunt Force Trauma

An autopsy on five-year-old Lucas Dillon of Whitwell says he died of blunt force trauma. The TBI is investigating the death, which is being treated as a homicide.
