Did you know that in the past calendar year, five Mocs teams brought home seven Southern Conference titles.  UTC celebrated three All-Americans, five SoCon individual titles, four league players of the year and posted a school-record grade-point-average.

If any of this gets you excited about Chattanooga Athletics, then you need to make plans to join us at the third annual Scrappy Awards.  The Mocs Club and Chattanooga Coca-Cola are once again presenting The Scrappys, brought to you by Brenda Lawson & Associates and McDonald’s, on Thursday, April 10.

Come celebrate all things Mocs from the Spring 2013 season through the recently completed winter campaign.  This is the third year of The Scrappys, the all-sports awards banquet for Chattanooga Athletics.  We have some amazing accomplishments to be proud of, and we want you to help us recognize our outstanding student-athletes and coaches.

The Chattanoogan Hotel is once again the host of the event.  The Scrappys is growing into a must-attend annual gathering to honor the Mocs – in the classroom, in competition and in the community.

The primary focus of The Scrappys is the 2013-14 senior class from all 17 men's and women's programs at UTC. However, there are a number of awards up for grabs. Chattanooga’s success, in and out of competition, ensures an exciting evening of anticipation for the coveted feathered trophies.

The Scrappys include awards for:
Play of the Year
Individual Performance of the Year
Victory of the Year
Rookie of the Year
Best Comeback
Brenda Lawson & Associates Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Powerade Team of the Year
Coca-Cola Male Student-Athlete of the Year
Coca-Cola Female Student-Athlete of the Year

The Scrappys are not limited to awarding just student-athletes. There are several categories for those who have a great impact on the Mocs mission to achieve excellence.
