The Bradley County Commission on Monday night honored veteran Bradley County Emergency Services employee, James Bradford, naming him Bradley County EMT of the year.
Mr. Bradford has been an EMT serving Bradley County for 34 years and was recently granted the Tennessee Ambulance Association’s Jimmy Studdard EMT Award.
County Mayor, D. Gary Davis thanked Mr. Bradford for the length and quality of his service. Mr. Bradford, thankful for the opportunity to serve his community, said, “I thank God for being able to the serve people, and mostly I’m just happy to be an EMT.”
The commission also announced several upcoming subcommittee meetings, which include the county budget preparation meeting calendar, the Charleston/Calhoun historical meeting Tuesday at 12:30 p.m., the Homeless Coalition meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Way conference room, there is a finance committee meeting Wednesday at noon at the Bradley County Mayor’s office, and the Highway 60 corridor meeting Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Bradley County Municipal Building.
