East Ridge Neighborhood Watch To Have Meeting On Thursday

East Ridge Neighborhood Watch is having a city wide meeting on Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. This meeting will be in the Gymnasium at the East Ridge Community Center.  

Organizers said, "This will be our most informative meeting to date.  We will discuss all aspects of crime, crime prevention, security and community involvement."

There will be several special guest speakers including the East Ridge Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, Judge Gary Starnes Hamilton County General Sessions Court and others. 

The meeting is open to the public.

Athens, Tn., Man Killed And Several Others Injured In 2 Wrecks Near Ooltewah Exit Of I-75

One person was killed and several others injured in two wrecks early Wednesday morning on I-75 northbound at exit 11.   The victim was James Newman, 66, of Athens, Tn.   Northbound lanes were closed while emergency crews worked both accidents.
