7 Pick Up For School Board District 5; 4 For District 9

Seven people have picked up thus far for the open seat on County School Board District 5, and four have picked up for District 9.

Jeffrey Wilson is not running again in District 5 and Chairman Mike Evatt is not running in District 9.

Yashika Ward is the latest to pick up for District 5.

Steve Highlander picked up for District 9.

So far, Greg Martin in District 3 and Joe Galloway in District 6 are unopposed.

David Testerman may face opposition from Samevelyn Rock in District 8.

Murder Charge Bound To Grand Jury Against Crutcher In Slaying Of Ladarius Cross; Witness Cites Rival Gangs

A criminal homicide charge was bound to the Grand Jury on Monday against Britian Crutcher in the Nov. 17, 2017, slaying of 28-year-old Ladarius Cross. A witness said the case involved rival gangs.
