Chili Lunch Fundraiser For "Libby's Living Legacy" Is Sunday In Chattanooga Valley

A chili lunch fundraiser for "Libby's Living Legacy" will be at Chattanooga Valley Elementary School on Sunday from 11:30 to 3:30.

Family and friends of Libby Gilley of Chattanooga Valley are seeking to raise $60,000 to build a playground to honor her commitment of teaching and loving children.

Libby was diagnosed with Stage 3 invasive cancer in September of 2008, and she learned just before Thanksgiving 2012 that the cancer had metastasized into Stage 4.

At the fundraiser, there will also be soups, sandwiches and desserts. The cost is $5.

The event was arranged by Mary Cope.
