University Of Findlay Defeats Dalton State Men, 8-1

Hilton Head, SC – The Dalton State men’s tennis team fell to 8-3 with a loss to the University of Findlay (OH) Thursday night into Friday morning.

A long night at the indoor courts at Hilton Head Island was made even more so for the Roadrunners by the 8-1 outcome.

Juan Pablo Arguello posted the only Dalton win with a victory, at number six singles, over Connor Majdalani, 5-7, 6-3, and 10-6.


Covenant Women Lose 100-57 To Hanover

In their second game in as many days, the Covenant women's basketball team fell to Hanover 100-57 on Saturday, falling to 0-4 on the year. Morgan Woodward scored a career-high 18 points, eclipsing her previous high of 14 set last year against Averett, while she also had four rebounds and two steals. Birmingham Southern Earn 87-67 Win Over Covanent

  Colton McGriff and Chris Boyd combined for 34 points, but the Covenant men's basketball team was undone by a hot-shooting Birmingham Southern team as the Scots dropped an 87-67 decision on Saturday night. Lookout Mountain, Ga., Raises Sewer Rates; Joins In Kudzu Fight

The Lookout Mountain, Ga., City Council on Thursday night approved an increase in sewer charges. The council approved ordinance 281 increasing sewer rates to $6 per 100 cubic feet of water from the previous rate of $4.77.  The new increase will be in effect in January 2015.    City Manager Brad Haven said the town will be replacing the flow meter for ...
