Cleveland's Elliott, Chickamauga's McDowell In Winner's Circle At Maryville

Despite his home track being shutdown under bankruptcy proceedings, Cleveland's Jimmy Elliott, 25 tasted victory for the second time this season Saturday night at the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville.

The “Mohawk Warrior" in his new look all-white #J39 “Elliott’s Tire Center, Car Smart Auto Sales, Stealth Racing Carburetors, Easy Auto Credit, KC Graphics” sponsored CVR Crate Late Model race car led start to finish the 20-lap Crate Late Model feature.

On Friday night, Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga., won the $7,500 NDRL series Super Late Model feature race that kicked off the double header weekend of action.

Saturday's feature event worth a $12,500 payday went to South Carolina's Chris Madden.
