Puttin' On The Ritz Benefits Ringgold Band Programs

Ringgold Tiger Band is hosting its annual Puttin' On The Ritz fundraiser on Saturday, May 10, at the Colonnade. The event benefits both the Ringgold Middle School and Ringgold High School band programs.  

Doors open at 6 p.m. with a silent auction and dinner will be at 6:30 p.m.  There will be music and dancing from 7:30-10 p.m.

Tickets will be $20 until April 18, then $25 until May 2.  May 2 is the last day for tickets to be sold.  Tables of eight will be $160 or corporate tables will be $200.  Corporate tables include eight plates, a listing in the program, a listing on the band website as a "proud supporter" of the band program and a quarter page ad in the HRS 2014/2015 football and band program.

UDC #900 Awards Supplementals And Adds New Member

Linda Ballew and her daughter Christy Peden were presented supplemental certificates on April 15 by UDC #900 Jefferson Davis Chapter President Marilyn Kinne and Registrar Anita Green.  The Chapter also added member Andrea Akers. Lymorris Martin, 59, Stabbed To Death; Rachel Green, 51, Is Arrested

Chattanooga Police responded to the 3200 block of Broad Street early Sunday morning to a person who had been stabbed.   Upon arrival, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department located Lymorris Martin, 59, who had received multiple stab wounds. Rescuers Called Out After Male Hits Head After Fall From Rope Swing; He And Companions Trapped On One Side Of The Creek

Rescue crews were setting up a safety line at the first creek crossing at the Pocket Wilderness at the foot of Mowbray Mountain after a male was injured on Saturday night and he and his companions were blocked by high water.
