Betty Ruth Hall Nixon, 84, of Hixson, died on Friday, April 11, 2014.

She was a longtime resident of Hixson and also lived on Signal Mountain for 20 years. Betty was a member of Middle Valley Baptist Church. She worked for Red Food stores for over 20 years in the Chattanooga area.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Hall and William Nixon and brother, Ellis Dent. 

Survivors include her children, Wanda (Warner) Colvin and Randy Hall; siblings, Kenneth Dent, Helen McClure, Margie Miller, Linda Sneed and Debra Wileman; grandchildren, Tracy Wileman, Heather Harris, Christy Malchaski and Josh Hall; and great-grandchildren, Lexie Hall, Taylor Malchaski and Ayden Malchaski. 

Services will be on Tuesday, April 15, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Visitation is on Tuesday, from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
