Paul Wayne Betty, 79, of Ringgold, died on Monday, April 14, 2014.
He was born to the late John William and Flossie Mae Haley Betty in Rockwood, Tn. Paul was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a graduate of LaFayette High School and worked for Willy's Food Market. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed.
He is also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Paul is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Katie Betty; sons, Steven (Sherry) Betty and Jeff Betty, both of Ringgold; sisters, Margaret Buff, of Rossville and Geneva Milnes of Missouri; grandchildren, Brad Betty, Jacob Betty and Bryan Betty; great-grandchild, Kylee; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Chuck Smith and Reverend Lee Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, and prior to the service on Thursday.
